Requirements:
 
  • A-Level and AUSMAT applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in the related field of study
  • ECE applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • DSW applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
  • CAT/ACCA applicants must possess at least an ACCA qualification
  • ADTP applicants must possess at least a Master's Degree in the related field of study
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English
  • Preferably 1-2 years of related teaching and/or working experience
  • Have a keen interest to teach, interact, and care for students
  • Possess resourcefulness and ability to work as a team

JOB VACANCY FOR FULL-TIME SOCIAL WORK LECTURER/PROGRAMME ASSISTANT

The Diploma in Social Work (DSW) Programme, launched on the 7 th April 2017 at the Methodist College Kuala Lumpur, is looking to employ a full time Social Work Lecturer/Programme Assistant to fill an immediate vacancy.

The requirements for application are:
 Holding a basic degree in social work from a recognised university,
 Working experience of 2 -3 years in any field of social work practice,
 An interest in, and the aptitude for, teaching social work and empowering practitioners.

The job responsibilities will include:
 Planning, preparing and delivering lectures/coursework and teaching/learning activities, including the preparation of teaching materials for assigned subject(s);
 Preparing and setting assessments (continuous and final examinations) for assigned course(s);
 Recording and monitoring students’ attendance following the College’s attendance policy and providing guidance/advice to students in their learning;
 Submitting all documents according to the lecturer’s checklist as directed by the Head of Programme at the end of every semester;
 Assisting the Head of Programme with assigned administrative tasks;
 Coordinating meetings and events related to the DSW Programme;
 Carrying out any other relevant duties assigned by the Head of Programme or Head of Academic Studies or the Chief Executive Officer of the College.
