Graduation Day Feb 2017

13 Feb 2017

In the Lunar New Year, Methodist College Kuala Lumpur celebrated the completion of another step in the lives of its A Levels, AUSMAT, ECE and ACCA students. Graduation Day was held on the 4th of February in Dream Centre, Petaling Jaya, with the esteemed presence of Pastor Dato’ Dr Daniel Ho, Founding Senior Pastor of DUMC as the Guest of Honour.

Of particular note this year were MCKL’s very first ACCA graduands, Chai Ji Il and Lim Heui Wern, with performances significantly above the global averages in the majority of their examinations. Pang Wen Hui passed with Distinction and received an award for the best overall performance in the Diploma in ECE programme, whilst Chuah Chee Song received an award for best overall performance by achieving an ATAR score of 99.05 in AUSMAT. The A Level programme had a pass rate of 99.3%, and 33.7% of the graduands scored at least 3As or A*s.

In remembrance of the time that students and staff had spent together in the College, representatives from the Student Council and ECE programme gave encouraging speeches about their most treasured experiences in MCKL. The College staff featured strongly in their speeches, as did the rest of the student body, culminating in an environment that helped them to grow socially and emotionally into the achievers they are today.

MCKL adds another year to its role as The College of Excellence for Life, and we thank God for blessing our students with outstanding intellectual and co-curricular achievements, placing in Him our hope that He will continue to do so for many more years.
