POSITION: PRINCIPAL OF MCKL (PYKETT CAMPUS), PENANG

Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) is an established private college of higher education offering Cambridge A-Level, Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT), Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Diploma in Social Work (DSW), Certified Accounting Technician (CAT), Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA), and American Degree Transfer Programme (ADTP).

 

Job Objectives:

Vision, Strategy & Leadership

  • To lead and manage the MCKL (Pykett Campus) Penang.
  • To be responsible of Profit and Loss of MCKL (Pykett Campus) Penang.
  • To enhance the Methodist Education ethos and mission set out by the Methodist Church.
  • To be responsible for the longer term planning and development of the Penang campus and to be aligned to main campus’ Strategic Planning of 2020-2025.
  • To ensure delivery of quality academic programmes and provide conducive learning environment for staff and students​.

 

Job Description:

Management of Resources

1. To be responsible for MCKL’s financial, personnel and physical resources.
2. To ensure the effective and efficient management of financial and physical resources.
3. To be responsible for preparing annual estimates of income and expenditure for consideration and approval by the Senior Management Team of Main campus.
4. To prepare budget and resources management plan to be approved by the Senior Management Team of the main campus.
5. To develop an organizational environment that promotes positive staff morale and performance.


Governance of Academic Standards

6. To ensure MCKL is in full compliance of MOE and MQA requirements.
7. To ensure that the College develops and maintains quality assurance systems to meet the inspection requirements of the MQA and MOE and to ensure that all work undertaken by the College is of the highest quality standards.
8. To comply with MCKL main campus QMS standard.


Strategic Alliances and Partnership

9. To represent the interests of the College and relevant industries as appropriate.
10. To develop new business opportunities for the branch campus to generate non-Tuition revenue for sustainability.

 

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Master’s Degree in any field.
  • At least 10 years of Academic Administrative experience.
  • Personnel management, Operation and Resource Management / Academic Qualit Assurance, competency and strategic Planning.
  • Proven track record in achieving target set.
  • Team player, excellent leadership and highly motivated with abilities to work with cross-functional team.
  • Good command of written & spoken English.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
