Job Vacancy : Assistant Administration cum Receptionist

Methodist College Kuala Lumpur is now hiring for someone who is both customerservice oriented and detailed oriented to undertake a wide range of administrative tasks identified by the Head of Department. 

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Receiving and transferring telephone calls, taking brief message, and passing these on via the email or connecting callers to staff members’ personal assistant or colleagues
  • Report telephone equipment and line faults to the respective manager in charge
  • Review and update on a regular basis the staff Telephone Extensions list, and advice all staff accordingly
  • Greet and welcome visitors and direct the visitors to the respective offices
  • Monitor and ensure that the reception and course counselling area is kept tidy
  • Check, receive and record all incoming mails and parcels, before informing the relevant member of staff for collection. Manage the record of the incoming mail/parcel log book
  • Process and deliver internal and external mail daily
  • Manage the office supplies (stationery, marketing collaterals, application forms, etc.) for course counselling area and maintain adequate stocks of marketing collaterals; task includes to replenish the supplies, inform the respective team members for new printing/ordering and make suggestions for improvement from time to time
  • Provide administrative and general support to the Manager, Enrolment & Admissions and Marketing
  • Manager in ensuring a smooth operation of the department
  • Contribute to team-wide communications and knowledge management, participate in college-wide events and projects
  • To perform any other duties as and when assigned by your direct superior or Management Team

 

Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone who is : 

 

  • At least a Diploma holder in any field
  • Pleasant, friendly, and has a positive attitude
  • Fluent in both English and Bahasa Melayu. Fluency in Mandarin will be an added advantage
  • Experienced in office administration and customer service
  • Strong and passionate in customer service & office administration
  • Keen on pursuing a career in an education environment
